Contact Us!71 5557 1 68 8 Description:1 WW2 Japanese Army Officer's sword made by the Rikugun Jumei Tosho swordsmith Hidemune (Munetoshi) available. This traditionally-made gendai katana has an expert water-tempered hamon. This Japanese WW II Army Officer's katana is in 1944 shin-gunto mounts (aka Type 3 mounts). The nakago is signed 'Munetoshi'. This was Yamakami Hidemune's first signature. This sword is also dated. The blade measures 26 3/8" (67.1 cm) (measured properly from the blade tip to the notch in the blade spine). This sword has two latch releases. Condition:The hamon and boshi are perfectly healthy. The blade has the small scratches expected on a battle-carried WW2 sword. There are a few small nicks in the cutting edge. The Army mounts are in nice condition. The lock release functions perfectly. This Japanese Army Officer's sword by Hidemune would make an important addition to any collection.
