Description: 1pc solid 100% American Black Walnut wood trim repair piece for vintage JBL L100 speakers wood grille frames..Cut to length with 45 degree miter cut ends.. This piece will fit the LH or RH side of the frame.. Will fit All variations and models of the vintage 1970's L100 speakers..L100 Century..L100..L100a..Inline drivers and staggered driver models Trim is raw unfinished walnut wood in a rough sanded form..it will need to be finish sanded and a finish applied *Note*.. Disclaimer of fit and finish +/- size tolerances I have precision measured with a micrometer and digital calipers 6 different original L100 frames and have recorded all measurements and have seen as much as 3/64'' difference in the trim thickness..3/32'' difference in the trim width and 3/32'' difference in length..These are pretty tight tolerance for as many units JBL sold, but these +/- variances can be seen by eye.. I have tried to size the pieces in the middle of the +/- tolerances i listed, but please do not expect an 100% exact fit and a exact copy of the trim pieces on your wood frames..They will be very close, but you may have to lightly sand to blend in or fill to get a good fit.. *Note..Disclaimer of wood color..Color and grain pattern of actual piece received will vary from the photos Black American walnut wood varies greatly in color..It can have light areas of sapwood and dark areas of heartwood..Also the walnut wood being milled today can be much different than the walnut that was milled 50 years ago which will also drastically changes the appearance and color..The walnut trim pieces on the JBL L100 frames have gained a patina and color changing effect from time over the last 50 years..The boiled linseed oil changes color over time also..Matching the the color of your walnut trim 100% with newly milled walnut is next to impossible so please dont expect a perfect color match.. You may have to experiment with different stains to blend the color in..The application that JBL used of boiled linseed oil may not make the color match and you will have to use some dyes or stain..Again you will just have to experiment.. * Wood working Skills Required.. Some basic woodworking skills and tools are needed to install this repair piece..the trim on the frame is delicate and fragile and can be broken or split easily..You will need to carefully remove the glued on old damaged piece without damage to the adjacent pieces..Old trim pieces can be removed with a heat gun and a razor blade utility knife..New pieces will need to be glued and clamped on, final sanded and finished
