Description: JE BLECKMANN, CAVALRY SWORD MODEL 1860, with scabbard. No date. U.S. Model 1860 cavalry saber with scabbard is in excellent condition was manufactured by J. E. Bleckmann in Solingen, Prussia, which eventually became a part of Germany. Blade is 34.5 inches long. The leather grip with double wire on handle is 5.5 inches long. The sword is 42 inches long total. One side of the blade is marked with "B & M" but it is faded and barely visible, the other side is not marked.
