Description: This opéra-ballet was originally performed in 1748 and was later given with various differing parts more than 60 times (a 1992 Erato recording once existed of a different sequence of parts than we have here). The German composer and famous gamba player Hesse made this transcription for two bass viols and harpsichord of the segments L'Enlèvement d'Adonis, Anacréon, La Lyre Enchantée, Sibaris at an unknown time. The manuscript was only discovered in Berlin in 2007. French-English texts.
