Description: Description Hans Arp (Jean Arp), poet, sculptor, and painter, born in Strasbourg in 1886, is an expressionist who must be discovered again and again, as he still is today. After experiencing the unprecedented World War I, Alp went through Dadaism and Surrealism in the postwar period, searching for an original, organic and indefinite style that had never been possible before. His works, which were neither abstract nor figurative, were called "concrete art" by Arp himself. It is a series of experiments that seem "irrational," denying the ancient cliché that "art has meaning," and emphasizing the unconscious, as if to say, "form gives birth to form. This is a rare serigraph (silkscreen) of Arp's 1932 work, published in the 1950s by the French Editions des Nouvelles Image. The relationship between the five amoeba-like concrete objects, which seem to be transforming at any moment, is always in flux, as if they represent the freedom of others. It is a truly contemporary work. There are many traces of age, but when framed, they will not be so noticeable. Please refer to the photos. This is a serigraph only.
