As a full blooded Kiowa Indian and Oklahoma native, Jesse was a frequent session guitarist back in the late 60's and early to mid-70's. As a sideman he played for years in many San Francisco Bands, cutting his teeth as lead electric for Taj Mahal and penning tunes for The Band, ("Further On, Down The Road") as well. He featured in recordings ranging from Neil Diamond to The Rolling Stones, John Lennon and George Harrison's 'Concert For Bangladesh.'
