The stones that the little statue of Jesus are not relic stones from Jesus tomb. There is space in the front within the ceramic base to place small keepsakes, you rosary or small bottle of holy water. You can feel the Tomb of Jesus stones that are set into the cross they have been set using a clear resin. This is all one piece. I am so excited to be able offer this precious keepsake that contains a fragment of marble stone that was recovered and gathered during the restoration of the Tomb of Jesus within the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. She was invited to the excavation site by a friend of hers who is a Biblical archeologist. I have taken these stones she provided me (I posted a photo of the ones I purchased from her) and I break them up into smaller sizes for the creation of my reliquary keepsakes that I design.
