Description: Large lot of 40 7 inch, 45 RMP records from a storage unit in Bronx, NY. Genres include funk, pop, soul, disco, r&b, hip-hop from the 70s and 80s. Includes the first ever rap record! King Tim III by The Fatback Band, which is a history-defining song for the disco and funk ensemble—not only going down as the first rap record, but also kickstarting the then underground genre’s presence on wax. Some of the artists in this lot are: Fatback, BT Express, GQ, Funkadelic, Kool & The Gang, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Five Special, Rick James, Kleeer, Sylvester, Sweat Band, KC and the Sunshine Band, and much much more! I tested 3 random records on a record player to confirm they work but I'm not a vinyl collector or expert and I do not guarantee the sound quality/playability on these records. They have been stored in an old fruitcake (now vintage) tin for decades, which is probably not optimal. Yes, shipping is higher than I would like it to be but due to the weight and dimensions, there's no way around it unfortunately.
