Description: This Franklin Edition Illustrated book, titled John Halifax, Gentleman, is a rare find. It was published by Worthington Co., New York in 1889. Early US reprint with brown and black cloth on decorative cover with gold on spine. Cover says "Illustrated", but the only illustration I can find is actually embossed on the cover. Cloth shows wear and some soiling, cracked hinges and scattered foxing to tanning paper. 435 pages. Overall good condition for its age.
