The Majestic was an active participant in the Dominion War. In 2374, the Majestic was part of the fleet assembled by Captain Benjamin Sisko for Operation Return. The U.S.S. Majestic (featuring battle damage) defended the USS Defiant after the Sitak is disabled. During the battle, the Majestic and the USS Sitak escorted the USS Defiant as the ships attempted to break through the Dominion lines. It was severely damaged after its saucer section was penetrated by a beam, and finally destroyed when a torpedo fired from a nearby Jem'Hadar battle cruiser severed its starboard nacelle.
