Pepe Franco graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte de Cuba (ISA) and was part of the so-called 80s generation and was part of the 4 x 4 group along with his contemporaries Moises Finale, Carlos Garcia, and Gustavo Acosta. His innovative and versatile work encompasses paintings, drawings, sculptures, objects, installations, and theatrical scenery. He is an artist with a discourse that specializes in the areas of the animal, plant, and human kingdoms, in a dialogue of questions between oppositions; life and technology, nature and spirit.
