HIS STUDENTS IN AMERICA INCLUDED ROBERT RAUSCHENBERG, CY TWOMBLY, RICHARD ANUSZKIEWICZ, AND EVA HESSE AMONG OTHERS. ACCOMPLISHED AS A DESIGNER, PHOTOGRAPHER, TYPOGRAPHER, PRINTMAKER, AND POET, ALBERS IS BEST REMEMBERED FOR HIS WORK AS AN ABSTRACT PAINTER AND AN INVALUABLE CONTRIBUTOR AS AN ART THEORIST OF COLOR THEORY.
