Description: Vintage 1970s Barefoot Eagle (El Aguila Discalza) by Josefa purple cotton open caftan/duster, adorned with multi-color ribbons and embroidered flowers. Women's size small (please see measurements below for best fit.) The handmade caftan, created by the famed Mexican designer, Josefa Ibarra, features a round neckline, open front, sleeves with upper cutouts toward the cuff, and side slits at the hem. Symmetrical in design element treatment, the ribbons decorating each side--in magenta, gold and turquoise--mirror each other, as do the embroidered motifs on each shoulder and sleeve. Made in Tlaquepaque Mexico. 100% cotton. Dry clean only. The caftan is in excellent pre-owned vintage condition, showing little wear. There are a few subtle stains on the yellow ribbons--see photos. All told, the piece is exuberant and gorgeous--great for layering over a tank top and jeans and more.
