A wonderful, small program in the Danish language for a screening of the film "Siren of the Tropics" (released in Denmark as "Papitou," the name of Baker's character in the film). Printed in one-color blue ink, there are seven illustrations that reproduce scenes from the film, each of which features Baker. Baker's name is printed in large text across the front wrap of the program, and the program leads witha biography of the superstar. This rare pamphlet (we note two holdings - Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences & Wayne State University) is a testament to the star power that Baker achieved; particularly in Europe, as the contemporary political and cultural atmpsohere in her native United States made such a career almost unthinkable.
