You can place food in heat-proof bowl or plate (make sure it is small enough to allow steam to freely circulate) in the bamboo STEAMER tray and cover with lid. You must place the STEAMER in a large work or pan with just enough water so that the bottom rim of the STEAMER tray rest in water. Steam over medium high or high heat for time indicated in the recipe.
