This is especially common on trucks and SUVs, as well as high performance cars. Many of our tips feature resonated or double wall designs, which does address this issue by protecting the outer wall from direct exposure to the exhaust heat. We also use thicker materials than many other companies. Our exhaust tips are guaranteed against discoloration when used under normal circumstances. We back our product with a one year warranty. Can this tip be clamped or does it need to be welded?Our tips are designed to be installed by professionals. Automotive professionals will typically install the tips by welding them in place. Most of our tips can be clamped but welding is highly recommended. This warranty does not cover damage that may be the result of improper use, including, but not limited to: road damage, overheating, missing hangers, broken motor mounts, etc. If for any reason our exhaust tips fail under normal use, we will replace it free of charge.
