Even our resonated tips will not alter the sound dramatically, but will rather compliment whatever system you already have. Will this tip turn gold or change color?Many exhaust tips will change color when they are exposed to extreme exhaust heat. This is especially common on trucks and SUVs, as well as high performance cars. Many of our tips feature resonated or double wall designs, which does address this issue by protecting the outer wall from direct exposure to the exhaust heat. We also use thicker materials than many other companies. Our exhaust tips are guaranteed against discoloration when used under normal circumstances. Automotive professionals will typically install the tips by welding them in place. Most of our tips can be clamped but welding is highly recommended.
