Description: Junji (or Juinji) Yamashita (Japanese, 1940_), Impressionist style painting of Paris with Montmartre in the distance, signed Juinji lower left. Wonderful impasto and in very nice condition. The artist was born in Nagasaki but was active in France.In a linen mat and frame typical of the period. I have a second painting by the artist also of Paris and the same size, please see my other listing. I have not taken the backing paper off this one but it was ripped on the other one and there is a date of 1973 so would attribute this to the same year as it is identical in size and style and was purchased by the same owner.Framed dimensions 10 x 15 1/2", image dimensions 7 x 12 1/2".
