Description: This is a black and white real picture postcard of Kabul, Afghanistan. It shows a beautiful view of the Maiwand Victory Monument. The Battle of Maiwand was one of the principal battles of the Second Anglo-Afghan War (1878–1880). The battle ended in defeat for the British Army and Victory for the Afghan followers of Ayub Khan. This postcard was published in the 50s. So it is about 70 years OLD. This postcard was sent to Czechoslovakia. The Afghan stamp is still attached on its back it does not affect the picture (see scan) and it is still a great collectable. Condition: good. This postcard should be in every Afghan collection.
