Description: KALEIDOSCOPE, CIRCA 1980's. Vintage kaleidoscope by Van Court instruments. Please note discolored area on top view piece. It is not pitted and remains smooth to the touch. Optical system encased between tooled brass end pieces. It produces a three mirror system that gives you a quilted pattern of the objects that appear before you. (See my lame attempt to capture the images in my pics). Exterior is wrapped in handmade marbleized paper ("Paper A'Cuve" -- The paper is laid carefully and slowly onto a prepared tray of water with droplets of color floating on it. The paper is then dried and wrapped around the scope). Approximately 9 ⅞" long and 1⅞" diameter. Received new as a gift and it's been sitting in a drawer. I have another, smaller kaleidoscope listed on eBay. If you would like to purchase this kaleidoscope and the other one AT THE SAME TIME, I will discount the price for buying the two and of course I would combine shipping.
