The information below are general guidelines. 1) Size 20 are our most common size and can be used for most general projects like baby diapers and clothing. These are the most popular size of plastic snaps, have the largest variety of color choices, have a good strong hold, and are a good starter size for most projects. 2) Size 16 are most commonly used for baby and toddler clothing, pacifier ribbon clips, mama pads, and multiple layers of ribbon. The smaller the size of snaps usually means the shorter the prong and the thinner the fabric they can be used in. We do carry longer pronged Size 16 (in White and Black) and Size 20 (in 21 colors) for thicker fabric projects. You will need plastic snap pliers to apply these snaps.
