They have no ownership signs, no bookplates or signatures, no library stamps, and no bent pages. Text blocks are firm and hinges are robust. Dust jackets retain the vivid colors of the originals, and have virtually no wear. Volume 2 has bumped corners that keep the set from being a true fine set. The original collector purchased them back in the day, placed them on his shelf for viewing, and rarely if ever opened the books. As a result, they are in near fine condition.
