She teaches at the University of South Maine and directs the Stonecoast Summer Writers Conference. She has translated both poetry and prose from Lithuanian, including The Earth Remains: An Anthology of Contemporary Lithuanian Prose. She is currently a Fulbright lecturer in Lithuania.
