Although Keith Haring died of AIDS at the age of only 31, despite achieving worldwide fame, his hopeful graffiti and spirit are still loved and spun throughout the world. His proceeds from the sale of his paintings are still used today to help children suffering from AIDS and poverty. This poster is silkscreened. Silkscreen: A type of stencil printing in which the screen is divided into two parts, one where the ink can pass through and one where it cannot, and the ink is pressed out onto the paper. Printing on a variety of materials is possible due to the low printing pressure, and nowadays, instead of silkscreen, a finer-grained and stronger synthetic fiber is often used for the screen surface.
