Description: Up for auction is one (1) En-Bloc clip (stripper clip) for the Mannlicher M1895 family of Austro-Hungarian straight pull bolt action military rifles. This family of rifles was manufactured by Steyr in Austria, FGGY (FEG) in Budapest, Hungary and Zbrojovka Brno in Czechoslovakia (modern Czech Republic). These clips are original military production. They came out of the pictured boxes. The boxes were dated 1938 and 1939. These clips do not have German markings. They are marked with a KC in a circle. This means they were manufactured at Keller & Co. Hirtenberg, Austria. Formerly the Serafin Keller company (headstamp SK). Changed names in September 1887 to Hirtenberger Cartridge, Primer and Metalware - Keller & Company after being sold to Ludwig Mandl. On January 1, 1897 became Hirtenberger Cartridge, Primer and Metalware Stock Company. These will work for both the 8x50R (8x50mm Rimmed) as well as the 8x56R (8x56mm Rimmed) cartridges. Therefore, these will work with the models:M1895 (M95)M1895/30 (M95/30)M1895/31 M (M95/31 M)etc. These rifles were used by a wide variety of countries including: Albania, Austria, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Finland, Ethiopia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Russian, Serbia, Ukraine, Yugoslavia. These clips will not work on Yugoslavian M95M and M95/24 rifles that were converted to 7.92x57mm (8mm Mauser). These clips are made of steel and have a weak (light) blued finish.
