Most of the text and pictures are from WILDERNESS, A Journal of Quiet Adventure in Alaska, published by G. P. Putnam's Sons, New York..." Unpaginated. In-text or full page illustrations on most pages. Very good book in very good dust jacket. Illustrated board panels and dust jacket are identical. Board extremities are sunned. Previous owner's name/date blacked out on FFEP. Text pages are age-toned else internally clean. Text block is snug. Dust jacket is sunned overall. All jacket folds are creased and scuffed, more so on spine folds. Chips on upper and lower edges and corners of jacket spine. Upper left corner of back jacket panel has a 1 1/4" closed slightly diagonal tear. Several small chips along upper edge of back jacket panel. Not price clip, price of $.50 is on front inside flap. (2) On Earth Peace, A Christmas Fairy Tale by Rockwell Kent, 1942. "This book is Number Twelve in the series of the American Artists, Group Gift Books. The type used for the text is twelve point Electra. All illustrations are by Rockwell Kent." Unpaginated. In-text illustrations on a number of pages. Good plus book, no dust jacket. Paper covered boards; front panel illustration is in blue, light blue and white with blue and white lettering; blue lettering with white lettering on spine and light blue paper on back panel. Board panels are scuffed and a bit soiled overall. Head of board spine is split, with a 1/2" vertical tear down the front board gutter and 1/4" tear down the back board gutter. Lower edge at tail of spine is rubbed through. Several scuffs along lower and fore-edges. Front fore-edge corners are rubber-through, back fore-edge corners are scuffed.
