Description: Here's an interesting coupling of two singular figures in music and life: Kim Fowley and Ben Vaughn. Ben Vaughn is best known (to me, at least) for his music with The Ben Vaughn Combo, wonderful albums that lit up the cool corners of the alternative and college radio scene in the 80's (and perhaps beyond, but I associate them with then). He also went on to produce albums by the likes of Alex Chilton. Kim Fowley is a whole different kettle of fish, one of those almost Warhol or McLaren like figures who set the stage for things to happen. His story is ridiculously interesting but just to brush across it he was involved with (managed, in the way McLaren managed the Sex Pistols) The Runaways, made captivatingly peculiar psychedelic albums (and was associated with Zappa for awhile) and....oh, you know, there's so much, you should do a deep dive on his life. Anyway, here is this unexpected album, from 1995. Enjoy!
