Description: *PRICED DROPED* Original woofer out of a parted out Model 5 speaker. Speaker works but when the woofer is laying on its magnet and you do a 'cone push test', you can hear a minor coil rub. When the speaker is in the mounted position with cone solder points at the bottom (as pictured); the coil does not rub. I read original date stamp as Jan 18, 1968. Sale includes one very fragile intact white gasket. As most KLH collectors know, this is a good price for a functioning Model 5, these woofers are becoming somewhat rare. Notice the cone showing its age has no gouges, scratches, or punctures-- it's in good condition for its age. This condition is a common problem caused by woofer being in one position for too many years. You simply remove your woofer out of its cabinet, rotate 180 degrees and reinstall. Woofer otherwise functions normally and if you'll notice surround has been resealed with AR sealing product. This is an 'as is' purchase but if you find woofer is not 'as described' we can work something out. Shipping will be UPS flat rate.
