Description: VINTAGE ** KREISS & COMPANY ***~ GREEN LADY ~*~* CANDLE or NAPKIN HOLDER FIGURINE*~With Clear Rhinestone & Hand Painted AccentsNO RESERVE_______________________________ SIZE: This piece measures: 8 & 3/4" in height; 4" in width (width measured at bottom) DESCRIPTION: This auction features a Vintage Kreiss & Company green lady candle and napkin holder figurine. This lady bears what I feel is a bit of a "Southern Belle" charm. She is wearing a green and yellow dress, with some accents that I believe were likely hand painted. She has clear rhinestones for her eyes, one small rhinestone above her lips -- likely to represent a beauty mark. There is also one rhinestone each on her left and right shoulders. She has blonde hair and wears white gloves, and there are small flowers on the middle portion of the dress. It is stamped with, "KREISS & COMPANY" on the very bottom. My understanding is that these old pieces were meant to hold a candle stick on the very top and small napkins were then placed in the small openings around her dress. I believe this piece is likely from the early to mid-1950s, but I've added as far off as the 1960s just in case. Regardless of the age, it does appear to be doing pretty well for the age. There are no major issues that I can see (please see condition area below for more on the condition). My guess is that it was likely displayed years ago and then possibly stored somewhere very carefully for many years after that (I have had it for about a year now). Please do view the pictures and video as an extension of the overall description. I feel it gives a pretty good indication as to how it looks in person. As always, please feel free to message me with any questions you may have, too. CONDITION: FAIR ~ I am considering the age and use when factoring the condition rating. This Kreiss candle/ napkin holder would likely be considered in Fair condition for the age and use of it. This is especially considering the fact that it is likely somewhere between 60-70 years old at this point! I will openly note that it appears to be missing a single rhinestone in the very middle (cleavage area) of her dress. I don't think it would take much to find a matching rhinestone to glue back on there; however, I will leave that up to the new owner's discretion. Beyond this, though, there only appears to be normal age and storage wear seen. The most obvious of this is the white bottom -- which does have some soiling, possible sticker residue, and scratches to the ceramic itself. I don't personally feel this is too unusual for a piece of this age, but it can definitely be seen with the naked eye which is why I wanted to note it (please see pictures for this). I did a very close check on the entire body of this piece and -- as far as I can tell -- there are no chips, cracks or missing pieces to it. I did note a few pottery flubs here at there, but these appear to be under the actual paint and therefore not a flaw caused by the previous owner. Again, I did note the wear mentioned on the bottom (which does include soiling and some scratches), but I think this can be carefully clean up to some extent. I will leave any cleaning to the new owner, though. I would ask that the pictures and video are viewed as an extension to the overall description of this piece, as I do feel it gives a better view of what you would see in person. That said, if there is anything I may have missed where the condition is concerned, please feel free to message me and I will be happy to help. With age and use considered, I would still say this piece rates in Fair condition overall. AGE/YEAR MADE: I do believe this piece is very vintage and likely dates from the early to mid-1950s. I have, however, added as far off as the 1960s just in case. Either way, it is -- at the very least --- 60+ years old at this point! ———————————** IMPORTANT INFORMATION: PLEASE READ! ** ~ GENERAL ~*** I do my very best to accurately describe the items I sell her on eBay; listing their imperfections as much as their attributes. I always note flaws so there are no surprises when an item is received. The items I offer are nearly always used, though, and therefore are not in, "mint" condition. In fact, I never use the word mint to describe an item. With that said, please do not misunderstand my sometimes low opening bids. They almost never truly reflect the actual value of any item. In fact, they are priced in such a way because I like to keep with the fun and excitement of an actual auction. ~ PAYMENT & SHIPPING ~*** I kindly ask that payment for purchase(s) be made within 5 days of the close of the auction. Occasionally, I will offer a "Buy It Now" option: in those cases, payment is due as soon as the "Purchase Now" button is chosen. An automatic NPB (Non-Paying Bidder) notification will be sent after the 5th day if payment is not received. Paypal is currently the only form of payment I accept. I am more than happy to combine shipping on items, please just contact me prior to the auction's end. I can then send a combined invoice which will save you some money and me some time! :) Where shipping is concerned, I do my very best to ship items within 1-2 business day after payment is received.~ PURCHASES & RETURNS ~*** I strive to make your buying experience with me as excellent as I can. With that said, please contact me if you are unhappy! I will do everything possible to correct the problem. On nearly all of my items, if you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you are welcome to return it for a full refund within two weeks (14 days) from the day it was received. Return shipping will be paid by the buyer, though. In certain cases, I may sell an item for a close friend of family member that does not belong to me. Those are usually the only instances that I do not allow returns. I figure, if the item does not belong to me, I should allow that decision to be made by the person who does own it. ~ SORRY, I NO LONGER SHIP INTERNATIONALLY! ~
