Description: This antique kutani bowl was gifted to my family from a Japanese collector while we were living in Japan in 1990 and has been lovingly cared for. It is a rare and valuable bowl from the Ko Kutani period in Japan which is marked by vivid dark colors applied with bold patterns that epitomize the lavish aesthetics of this time. Geometric patterns and blossoms surround and cover the interior and exterior. The age of this piece is between 1800-1849 and it is in excellent condition with very minor surface wear. Kutani ware pottery produced in the Kaga region of Ishikawa Prefecture Japan has a history of over 350 years. Do feel free to make me an offer! Best, Amy
