Author Biography RaÚl Lazaro Benítez nace en Matanzas Cuba el 16 de julio de 1953.Realizo estudios en la escuela Provincial de Artes de Matanzas donde aprendió las artes plásticas y mÚsica en el instrumento guitarra. Estando en el Pre-Universitario alcanzo el primer premio con su cuento El Derrumbe en un concurso literario de las diferentes escuelas de la ciudad en 1974.Se gradÚa de Ingeniero Agrónomo en la Universidad de Matanzas Cuba en julio de 1981.Para este entonces termina su primer libro de poemas Cascada de Amor. Es autor de otros cuentos y poemas. Le canta con sus letras al amor y a la naturaleza. Los dibujos en este libro fueron hechos por niños que son estudiantes de artes plásticas en Matanzas Cuba bajo la guianza de sus profesores Ramón López y María Cristina Gonzales. Raul L. Benitez was born in Matanzas, Cuba on July 16th 1953. He has a graduated from the School of Arts of Matanzas where he studied music and art. He won first place in a literary competition for his short story, "The Landslide" in 1974. He graduated with a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Matanzas, Cuba in 1981. Out of this experience he wrote a book of poems, "Waterfall of love" He has written many other stories and poems about the power of love. The pictures of this book were painted by students from the School of Arts of Matanzas Cuba under the guidance of professor Ramon Lopez and Maria Cristina Gonzales.
