They have a button/zipper closure along with 5 belt loops around the waistband. They have two rounded, top entry front pockets with a smaller pocket above the right front pocket. In back the two pockets are sewn on with no other decoration other than the design of the fabric. They do have some stretch in the fabric which should make them very comfortable to wear all day long.
