Description: Beautiful Red Velvet Neiman Marcus hat with a bow. The hat is in a great condition. The lining and interior band are intact. The velvet is in excellent condition with no signs of aging or damage. The netting on the hat needs help. I am not an expert, but perhaps replaced. the netting is attached to the hat with two hat pins and a hand stitch The photographs demonstrate one of the hat pins with a white head. The other hat pen is tangled in the netting. I pulled gently to remove it. It did not come out readily so I decided to leave it there. There are two “arms” that are on either side of the bow and would reach towards the ear of the lady wearing the hat. These would help hold the hat security upon the head. this hat was owned by my 72 year old friends mother. It has been stored in the family home in a non-smoking climate controlled pet free environment for decades. This has had one owner and has been kept in a hat box. The owner of this hat was a grand lady who owned beautiful things and kept them meticulously.
