Husband and wife, the back of the portraits have their last name, also on the back of the portraits is the note "Cette note l'applique a l'autre portrait" or This note applies to the other portrait. Showing they were a pair. There is some haziness under the glass, expected with age of item and original frames, ribbons are very fragile on frame.
