Description: The print offered here is an 18th century botanical etching entitled "Euphorbia Helioscopia". There is no printmaker or publication attribution. It is certainly of the 18th century; the paper is laid and watermarked. I would guess that it is either German or Dutch. I have found other examples online but have been unable to determine where and by who it was published. The sheet dimensions are 16 5/8 inches by 9 1/2 inches. The paper is trimmed within the platemarks at bottom and on the left. This print is from my personal collection which I am beginning to sell off. Unless noted otherwise in the description, the prints, art and other items that I sell are not "reproductions". For example, offered maps are of the period.
