Description: Wonderful antique large cabinet photo depicting a Cricket Team holding a Champions Shield. I am fairly certain this is a team from the Carlisle Cricket Club. Handwriting on the lower right indicates "Carlisle"; and under loop and high resolution scan, you can barely make out "Denton Holme" and "Upperby" as past winning teams on the Shield. The crest/logo on the top of the shield is also similiar to what it looks like today; but I am certainly no expert. The dates on the Shield from the previous winners look to be 1880's to mid 1890's so I would assume this to be c. mid 1890's. Watermark is a digital creation and not on the physical item. Cabinet measures approx. 12" x 13" - some condition issues on the edges but the main image is intact and presents very nicely. Image is very clear. Any questions just ask. Will ship with extra care.
