Description: 12 stunning large monogrammed Linen Damask Napkins. Made of a fine quality Irish linen with a monogrammed initial "N". These napkins have been made of a fine high thread-count linen damask of superb quality giving them a very nice thick, shiny, smooth, luscious feel. The damask is a classic all-over rich scroll and Iris flower pattern. This set would have been part of the trousseau of a well-to-do bride around the turn of the last century when a young woman and her family would have filled armoires full of linens for her eventual marriage. These napkins are in truly excellent condition, the linen with no signs of wear, nice white -there are no holes or stains-there may be an occasional storage spot. I have not laundered this lovely set. It is apparent that these linens were very little used. We can tell this because the embroidered monograms have not been flattened by repeated washings and ironings. The photos just do not capture is true charm. Please enlarge photos for more detail .
