Description: This GORGEOUS cotton 1930's / 1940's Irish chain variation quilt is all hand pieced and hand quilted, with a colorful interplay of solid and printed fabrics. A note pinned to the back says: "To: Ashley Noelle, From: Great Grandma Nanie Smith." It came out of an estate in Columbus, Ohio.It measures 80" X 82" and is in mint, never washed condition, with a couple of small, faint spots and no wear. There is quilting around the piecework and in a grid design in the background, all at 5-6 stitches to the inch. The back is cheddar yellow, the hand stitched binding is solid green, and the batting is thin. The pics just don't do justice to this COLORFUL vintage CLASSIC in GREAT CONDITION - it's much nicer in real life!
