Description: This is Gilbert’s Regulator No. 3. The case is very nice with good color and very visible grain. The veneer is mostly intact and top quality. The glass is old and wavy. I believe the finials to be original although the bottom shows significant loss. I think the dial and bezel are original but it was covered with a new paper. Its possible they the dial is intact underneath. The new paper is well done but signed Waterbury. I am choosing not to remove it that will be left to the buyer. There is a piece of lower side trim missing. This came from a clockmakers collection and ran when it was in the house, but it was removed and placed in storage so it may require cleaning and adjustments. It’s being sold as found for restoration. This is a spectacular Victorian clock with an over the top finish and it’s priced to sell so don’t miss it! It’s being sold for pick up only because it’s to rare, heavy, and delicate. You can pay cash if you want to look it over prior to purchase.
