Glenn Vilppu (1936- ) is an American-born artist of Finnish descent. He holds a MFA degree from Fine Art from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena where he also taught in addition to teaching at UCLA and the American Animation Institute. He is the founder of the Vilppu Academy Online Art School and a founding member of the New Masters Academy. He has worked for Walt Disney Animation Studios, Warner Bros. Animation, and Marvel Productions. He has authored many books and led tours, seminars, and workshops across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Though mainly known for his figure sketching and drawing, he also painted landscapes, primarily in the 1980s.
