The piece dates to circa 1900 - 1930s and is done in the Scattered Flowers or Streublumen pattern. The gravy boat is white with beautifully hand painted floral decoration, in a veritable rainbow of vibrant colors featuring a variety of flowers scattered against the white background. All the decoration is hand painted in painstaking detail, with a great degree of skill. This good sized gravy has a bright gilt edge. The condition is excellent. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs. This is a first quality piece. There are no cancel marks and no imperfections.The gravy boat is marked on the underside with the Meissen crossed swords mark in underglaze blue. The underplate measures 9 3/4 x 6 inches.
