Payment is due within 3 days unless other arrangements have been made. Thanks for looking! A c.1800s large Norwegian farmhouse rosemaled snap lid tine box with a metal carrying handle. This is a very old piece and VERY heavy. The rosemaling is colorful but primitive, and the paint decoration appears to be as old as the box itself. The snap lid holds in place so that the box may be picked up and carried by the metal handle. There is obvious wear here and there as can be seen in the photos, and the interior shows its years of use with darkened areas in the wood. It is a large tine, measuring 16.5" at the longest point on the lid, 8.75" wide, and 7.5" tall to the top of the lid. The packed weight of this box is around 6 lbs, as the tine alone is very heavy.
