Description: This listing is for a rare antique French patinated bronze mantel clock The clock was made in the Art Nouveau style. It features a patinated bronze state of a maiden holding a clock. The detailing is quite incredible. The maiden stands on a base depicting elaborate drapery and lions paw feet. The top is adorned with gothic revival and orientalist detailing The clock is quite large, measuring about 9.5 x 26.75 x 9.5 inches. The clock appears to be in overall good condition physically. There are some signs of normal wear and age. There are some very subtle lines in the maiden’s arms. They are subtle enough that we cannot tell if they are from skilled repair or if they’re natural imperfections. The clock has a nice lever escapement time only movement. It was last serviced in 2010. It did not run when recently tested. Probably due for routine servicing. We cannot find any signatures or makers marks.
