Description: 2 STATUES OF TERRA COTTA WARRIORS FROM TOMB OF QUI SHI HUANG The Terracotta Army is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China. It is a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210–209 BCE with the purpose of protecting him in his afterlife. They were life-sized, and no two faces were alike, indicated they were made from life. (The last photo shows how the original soldiers looked like when they were uncovered. These are two statues made in China, reproducing two of the warriors from the tomb. The standing one is 24" tall to give you some sense of scale. The heads of the two warriors are separate, so they can be exchanged between the bodies. They are beautiful decorator items. I purchased these at the China pavilion at Disney's EPCOT years ago, when they still offered cultural items rather than Disney merchandise... Items will be well packed in bubble wrap, and shipped insured. THE HANDLING CHARGE HELPS COVER INSURANCE AND OVERSIZED PACKAGING. These items did not come with original boxes.
