Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Antique Vintage Art. Beautiful vintage late Mid Century oil on canvas. The oil painting is of an Eskimo Whale Hunt. Painting is signed and dated. The painting is signed in the corner what look like Susan Schurmer 1975. Interesting painting showing Eskimos in a small boat, in rough water, trying to hunt a whale. Nice Folk Art look. It is in its original nicely carved wood frame. Vintage. Almost 50 years old. Good condition for age. Painting in good shape. Colors are bright. Painting is clean. There is a bump on the canvas where fell on something and it created a bump/crease. More noticable in pictures where flash created a shadow where it is. I have pics front and back of canvas bump. Ornately carved frame in good condition with some minor scratches and scuffs typical of age. Beautiful large vintage oil painting ready to hang.
