Description: Leica collapsible Summicron 50mm f/2 rangefinder M-mount FAST lens. Serial # 1166709. Made in Germany. Collapsible barrel version. Catalog #SOOIC-M. Circa 1954. Perfect fit for the Leica M3, M4, M2, M5, M6 M7, or Leica MP cameras. Will work on Leica M8.2, M9, M10, M11 and Leica Monochrom. Great lens to use on mirrorless digital cameras with the proper adapter. E39 filter size. Close focusing from 3.4 feet or 1 meter. Scale is in feet. Aperture range from f/2 - f/16. Lens is in Ex++ or 8.5/9 of 10 cosmetic condition. Fairly clean lens barrel. No DENTS or DINGS. Good glass. Some small fine coating marks on the front & a few on the rear that is common for the 5cm Summiron lens. These slight fine coating marks should have no affect on your photos. Fairly clean optics. Smooth focusing. Smooth working aperture blades with slight oil on them. Nice, "classic" Leica M collapsible fast normal lens. Includes Leica caps. Sells with NO RESERVE at price of $635.
