Description: The 1954 Picasso painting "Les Femmes d'Alger" (Version A) was meticulously reproduced at the famous Atelier Mourlot. Atelier Mourlot was a print shop in Paris, France that was a major contributor to the development of lithography as an art form. This lithograph was created by master printer, Henri Deschamps. Deschamps was Picasso's most trusted printer. The two collaborated from 1945 until the death of Picasso in 1973. This lithograph poster was produced in 1964. It is titled "L'HÉRITAGE DE DELACROIX" and is believed to have been an exhibition of works that paid homage to Eugène Delacroix, a leading French Romantic painter. The motif is "Femmes d'Alger" (Woman of Algiers), a work by Delacroix in 1894. Original at the time.
