Gibson wanted to build a greatelectric guitar and Le Paul was one of the only guys who understood the instrument and the possibilities. He worked with John Huis and his team at Gibson to develop the "Les Paul." There are very few musicians today in 2024 who don't have, or yearn for a "Les Paul." Here he is with an early model. Maybellene was a Scandinavian label that specialized in giving us memorable sounds and pictures of the pop and early rock stars of the 50's and sixties. Now increasingly scarce they can make a real contribution to our knowledge and understanding of the early years of rock n roll history.
