They have been modified and taken in somewhat to where they fit less like a true straight and more like a relaxed taper. They also don't have a 30 inch inseam like it says on the tag, but instead have just over a 27 inch inseam. The seat of the jeans also appear to have been taken in somewhat. Beyond all that, the fabric is new and unfaded. It is 100% cotton, and the jeans have never been washed. They are selvedge, but don't feel particularly raw, so they may have been once-washed by Levi's. If you're really into tracking the fade progress of your jeans, I'll be including a vegetable tanned fade log from Tannery South with this purchase. It's already marked with the jeans, but went unused. It's a special indigo invitational of their fade log, so you should be able to enter that contest with these jeans!
