Description: This charming print from a rare children’s book, circa early 1940s. It depicts the Lewis & Clark expedition. The men are all out of their canoes, pulling them upstream as one rider still steers. A native american indian horseman watches from the cliff. Buffalo bison graze nearby. Buckskin clad trappers fight a giant grizzly bear. Very exciting! This color print is on thick pebbled papers with wonderful color. The color is actually richer and deeper than my scan shows. It has text on the back, but the text is not visible through paper. The page has a slight creamy tone from age. The page measures approx. 9.25x11 inches, and the actual image area is about 7.75x8.5inches (19.5x21.5 cm). Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
